Thursday March 18th
Kathi spent most of day working on income tax. Mary sorted maps for her and I sorted papers was able to ditch maybe 1/4 of them.

Wednesday March 17th
Kathy took the Wrights to airport- we went grocery shopping price is about one-third higher than Marion. Bob had to go to City Hall to pick up concealed weapon license and Kathy to gynecologist so Mary and I rode along to see part of Las Vegas. Ate at the reserve a hotel casino along interstate in Henderson. Bob stayed to gamble but we came home for quiet evening.

Tuesday March 16th
Took pics on my new Kodak DC210 and showed them on TV. Mark Soents[?] stopped- son of Sparks meigs[?] bars living in AZ.
Boys had Kathy decorate with clusters of balloons for us. They play well together. K and I pulled wagon to end of street to see conveyors sort rock excavated in area. Kristi & Tony in from staying at Circus Circus 2 nights with friends from Reno- Took family photos. Kathy manages meals somehow, but I know she doesn’t feel well. Holds her stomach. Had a nice talk with Kristy and Tony in living room about their Air Force careers. Tony’s crew chief for plane that maintains other planes just back from Saudi Arabia. Kristy will be cross-trained training to supervise training of others.

Monday March 15th
Mary brought her car out at 7 a.m. to leave in garage. I drove into Columbus and left car at 3C parking- America West direct flight to Las Vegas 9 (our time) to 10:10 (LV Time). Kathi, Shane and Tyler at gate to meet us. Kyle stayed with Bob. Got wheelchair for Mary- In to Las Vegas traffic with “strip” skyline close- House on Sedona Cedar Drive gorgeous but little yard. Boys great.

Sunday March 14th packed for trip.

Saturday March 13th 1999
In to La Salon of Styling for cut shampoo and blow-dry $11- back home and found cash register receipt for camera- took to Office Depot and got a refund of $79.37 don’t see how they figured that. Took taco Bell food to Mary’s for supper. At HH from 1 to 4 cleaned up computer rooms and did some accessioning. Found account of Balloon Ascension explosion. Couple from Cleveland area in- descendants of Richard Thew- Bought a DBY. Stopped at Hemmerly’s and left itinerary and got arrangement for Kathi and Beanie Babies for boys.

Friday March 12th -Birding 17 species!
e-mail from Dave Ioeger wanting Kathi’s phone number- replied. Unsubscribed from Feeder list. Spent an hour looking for Office Depot receipt to return Kodak 200 digital for a 210- without receipt I couldn’t refute clerk’s saying I only paid $249 for the 200 so I got jipped out of $50 on the return. To HH to take minutes of the 30th Anniversary and leave check for “After 40 Years”- purchased by Marion online. Picked up Mary J and met Mary H at “Something Good”. Took prairie map text to Willis Thomas. Now to study new camera- also got a [unfinished]

Thursday March 11th 7 degrees sunny 28
Royce cleaning me laundry and sorting papers. Worked on Kensel’s text for map and have it ready to send to Willis Thomas. Read Smithsonian on calendars and Mesa Verde- & Maximum PC on digital camera. I need a removable media to play the cameras disc on my computer.

Wednesday March 10th
Don Keil shoveled out both driveways took him about an hour and he refused the $10 I offered him- Why? He’s such a great guy.
Kensel Clutter over to update me on his maps that Willis Thomas is computer generating and to okay my version of his introduction to the map. His study of the original surveys of 1819 to glean info on prairies is unbelievable.
Call from Mary- Taking Celebrex only 3 days and her leg pain is all gone. e-mail from Kathi and her new doctor diagnosis for her is maybe fibromyalgia- tried not to alarm her with my reply.

Tuesday March 9th 7” snow
Birds flocking to feeder never had five Sparrow species before- song, tree, field, white crowned, and white-throated.
Spent most of the day reworking Kensel Clutter prairie map intro not realizing there was a message from him on my answering machine asking me to do just that.
