Good food & fellowship. Don Baker’s genealory records are 18″ high!

Terry over and paid him $75 for brick laying.
Made Dave scrub patio where he had ridden his bike & left tracks on new paint. Found tear in Rec Room carpet where he dropped counterweight he found. Worked on Hemmerly genealogy info getting it organized. Told Dave to close windows in my car when storm came up. He didn’t do it. Rained 3″.
To town to see Mother & get more country riubds. Made barbecue ribs for tomorrow – Got Dave a [illegible] bag to sit on.

Dave finished walk by greenhouse – Fair job. Just ready to go to Marion when Mary called wanting us to go to Cardington to Al’s restaurant in their new van. Rides good bu it is so big! Took bathroom rug to laundromat while we ate.

Still no check from National Security – Called Bob Desser’s office – Said was cashed Monday $2,972 – & check would be mailed in 3 days. Sent David my check for $4,000 & note with 12% interest – repay in 3 yrs.

Lee finished laying front walk at 3:00 & Dave picked up surplus brick & stacked them. By using treated 2×6 boards for sides (15 yrs?) will be easier mowing too. Paid Lee $55.
Geneva Brewer & Diane & Barbara out at 5 with food for Altrusa Picnic. About 30 here – I gave the program with slides on English Gardens.

Up at 7:00 again & Lee here at 7:30 working on walk. Took boys swimming at Dogwood Valley. I read paper, worked crossword puzzle & on England album. How can they have all that eneryg after working all day. Got hamburgers in Mt. Gilead on way home.
