Transcribing letters of Orloff Norton.
Mailed Randy’s class nominations. Worked on getting my nomination for OAHSM Individual Award. Board OK’d it years ago but I was on OAHSM board so it wasn’t considered.
John & Maxine Hunter & duly & John told me his grandfather worked for a publisher that sent him all over USA to put out Special Editions. So that explains the June 1895 Special Edition with color front & back. Never could understand how Harding Publishing had the capabilities.

Picked up around the house before going to HH at 12:00 to meet David. He worked magic with the trial version of Past Perfect & read some of the infor from ou files into it & extracted the information he will need to convert. Got his accessions program on the desk top & it is amazing how fast you can retrieve info from 10,000 recors with a 266 computer.
No visitors made it easier to work & I got Charlton’s 1833 Courthouse keys accessioned & the Crow’s Opera House program – for fun we checked 1901 Marion Star & no mention.
To Terradise at 4:00 to meet Jack Telfer. He gave David a rundown on Marion Co. Park District – no real progress! Waste land across road here for parking lot. Mary out for pizza just before storm broke & we headed for Rec Room – winds to 75 mph! No damage here.

I wrote introduction to award nomination for Randy & his class between visitors. Another one was Charles Custer (the bulk mail guy at PO who is so nice) He’s co-lateral descendant of Gen. Custer & a rank beginner in research – I told him to start with census & document sources.
Vance was in wanting to buy a copy of ‘Home in Indiana’ for his mother who was an extra in the film in the ’50s.
Met Mary at Tim Horton for supper. Helen Kaufman picked up my Mar. Co. Fair membership card for me so no hassle getting in next week.
