Dave & I worked on walk.
Lee over about noon & wanted Dave to ride to Dogwood Valley – on route 61 north of Mt. Gilead on bikes to go swimming. So hot I said I would take them over & they could ride back – it was 12 mi.! – Straight shoot to 61 on Williamsport Rd. Didn’t come home until 10:30 – Lee had a flat & they had to find someone to bring them. I refused to worry.

Up at 7 & worked with Lee on walk until 10:30 & then got ready to go to the State Fair & to pick up Dave at Pt Cols at 5:00 – Lee & Mary with me. So hot at Fair I nearly passed out.

Picked Dave up – Frontier flight & went to Duff’s Cafeteria for dinner.

Blacktop laid by Marion Paving – Both lower & upper driveways. $2,972 – Paid $1,000.

Called National Securities Fund to redeem shares to loan to David for his remodelling. Had to go to bank to have my signature guaranteed.

Hauling in stone for driveway. Walt Aures & his crew nice to have around. Some went fishing in pond last night – caught lots – but small.
