Sweet Walt- How much I love you. Went to the show with Louis tonight. You have to go with someone you don’t love to realize how much nicer it is to go with someone you do.
Laura, Ed, Louis and I were going to see Will Rogers in “Doubting Thomas” but so we’re about 1,000 other people. So we saw Jean Harlow, William Powell, F Tone in “Ruthless”

I guess Wally is going to live at our house*. Moved his stuff up here and spent afternoon arranging the room. Look quite nice.

Rode to work as a hitchhiker.
Louis called this morning saying High St. wanted Wally to come back. But in mornings mail I had a card saying he got a job at the Silk Mill- Oh me.
He and Bernard Brooks and Rosy met me at work about 1:30. Ate at Louis’s restaurant and I took him to his room. Wally moved out.
Wally and I went up town last and met Bernard Brooks and Margaret. We all went to show. Wally got Bernard’s car and drove it home about 12:30. Saw “Ginger”

Will Rogers and Wiley Post were killed in an airplane accident in Alaska last night.
Got a letter from Wally and Bernard Brooks.
Wally is going on a picnic with 10th Avenue. Kids but they called it off because of terrible rain last night.
Laura and I spent the evening reading papers and add a Coke.

Went out to Rosina’s tonight. A girlfriend from Cleveland there. Had delicious homemade ice cream and chicken. Met Bob Haldeman and the six of us went to Galion (goodness knows what for) and then to Seccarin Park. Danced and rode on Merry go Round. Saw lots of Marion kids (Lil Hankel) and did Babs go for Bob and vice versa -disgusting.
Stopped at Bucyrus for Cokes. (“We don’t do that in Cleveland”) (“Everybody does in Cleveland”) Me home first so I can get some sleep 12:00

And did it rain.
Daddy and mother met Wally and I at end of car line. Got about 5 miles out of Worthington and the rain trounded[sic] the car out. Sat for about one half hour till it stopped. Road like a river with water running over it. Wheat fields washed into [illegible] and valleys like lakes.
