Davis’s went to the fair so I got my own supper. Meant to go to bed early but Mrs. Havens came in and talked and then Davis’s came home and I had to see the quilt and things they bought.
Did my nails and now it’s 10:15.

Up early and to Mohican State Park near Loudonville. Aunt Sylvia’s and Mary arrived shortly after us. Before dinner Wally and I climbed down to the river (a mere 300-foot practically straight down) and were we ready to eat. After lunch the girls climbed down another way and we followed. Aunt Sylvia gave it up. I’m afraid I’m going to be sore.

Quit at 12 after working like the dickens. Wally met the bus at Marion. He likes my new dress except that it shows too much. I’ll have to wear the slip backwards.
We went to see “In Caliente”. Bernard Brooks came down after and took us out to Rosina’s. Just sat around. Wally and I went to bed about 2. Separate beds

Washed- fixed new dress hem- ironed- did nails (got some “Manicure” today) did my hair and read Wally’s letter again and so to bed.

Bill went to Logan this morning and played golf this afternoon. So I ran the office. Not so bad. Only I was sick all day ?Cholera morlin?. Mrs. Davis gave me paregoric and castor oil when I got home.
Soaked in a hot bath. I wish I had something to eat but I’m too lazy to go get anything.

Wednesday August 21st 1935 card from Wall-E lost his job before he started but got another one. I feel so discouraged.
Stopped at several shops tonight looking for a linen print but no luck.
Just fooled around this evening. White shoes looking very gray.
Are we downhearted?
YES.
