David called at 11:15 to tell me he had been contacted by Edelman’s Meats to manage their stand in the art deco 1930 restoration of Union Station[Cincinnati Union Terminal]. About four hours a day and he’ll love the atmosphere. He thinks Kass should gradually be given manager responsibilities. Wasn’t surprised to hear of Dave Woesner’s leaving.
Busy day- 10:30 and 4:30 wedding appointments. Talk at 1:30 for retired Public Schools Employees on Marion County History. Straightened out premiums on Van and Hornet insurance.

Couldn’t sleep so proof-read Wills, Tuttle, Youngs part of Hildreth Genealogy. Those three families would make a James Michener novel.

Used weed trimmer on front and back banks. Had to lengthen monofilament cord about every 15 minutes and Howard had to start it for me. But made quick work of what would have been a week’s job. Mary & Kenny out to see it as they bought one from Sears Saturday $129.
Gary out- has finished painting at Bordeaux $160 total labor.
Gorgeous day. Humidity 39% temperature 72°.
Bath, washed hair, set and dried. Chipmunks nibbled at the watermelon rind I put on deck.

In to deliver funeral work at 12 and Straub reception flowers. Delivery was fouled up on their flowers for church and Wanda had to pick them up yesterday afternoon. Met Auckland’s from Attica at Straub’s buffet. Met them at shop to show them around after picking up mother. Then took mother for ride to Finches Garden Center to see about trimmer, but they were closed. Water still standing in huge areas after a week. Home about 5 and Howard in bed. Weeded and trimmed for 2 and 1/2 hours.
Kathi woke me at 1:30 saying they had just got home.
Kass called to say club decorations for Wensingers were a big hit.
