Tuesday May 10 1932
Mary B. came a la maison avec moi de voir ma robe de Prom. Elle a mangé diner ici et alors nous avons allé a Guild meeting a la maison de Helen Bois. Pauline was elected president. Then I bawled the whole mess of them out for not accomplishing anything. They didn’t like it of course. Went down to Mary’s and stayed all night.

Monday May 9 1932
Martha Jane Cook came to me in Chemistry Lab & told me she wanted me to be publicity chr. for the G.R. next year. I would accept.
While sitting in the dining room I hear someone screaming help, help. Daddy ran to see what was the matter but came back laughing. Someone had taken hold of a live wire & couldn’t let lose [sic]. It didn’t hurt him.

Sunday May 8 1932
Daddy has the toothache. Wore my green silk to S.S. Quite a sensation. Harry, B.B., Carla Yazel & Pauline here for prac. Sent them home at 3 & got my G.R. ring. Beautiful ceremony. Play came off O.K. at B.Y. (I wrote it) Gave a prayer at church for the Life Services League program.

Saturday May 7 1932
Slept late to make up for lost time. Dug dandelions till noon. Mother & I went up town. Got my prom dress finally after trying on green, yellow, white, organda’s with flounces & ruffles & holes everywhere. Got a delicate pink net with blue bows peeking thru. Had quite a scene with the family in the evening. Don’t know what about.

Friday May 6 1932
Circus day but not for me. Took my dummy to the printers. Went over 3d period & Floy had re-written some things about play ticket. I don’t like it. What a thrill when 8th period they brough my papers in & gave them to everybody. Had to go to the annual concert instead of the circus. Had comps to boot. Rained, thunder.

Thursday May 5 1932
Oh am I dead. Last minute news coming in . Had a time getting the Vocational. They said it was never printed. Ran off all the proof 8th period. While waiting for the G.R. election news Alice helped me make up the first page of dummy. Got to the church about 6:15 & into my costume. Had to read the toast then into my glasses & shirt for the play after it was over B.B.

Wednesday May 4 1932
I’m nearly dead but I’ll probably survive. Material galore & I ran all over getting it typed, headlines written, etc. Had scene with McAfee but she, Arth Smith, Shade are all perfect in helping me. I’m taking Mary part as Miss Mudd in play pract for that started dummy.

Tuesday May 3 1932
Some material for the Herald in. Alice went to printers with M but it wasn’t stamped so they couldn’t take it. Guild met here 13 of them. Dres for “Butterfly” sisters. Mine is U.G. They left about 11:15.
Wrote some headlines. Helped me with the rest of my [illegible]

Monday May 2 1932
The beginning of a very busy week. Some of the material came in second period. Library council after school.
Practise in evening. Stopped at Printer’s office for style sheet of headline and wrote some around 10:00

Sunday May 1 1932
S.S. Aunt Ruth’s for dinner. Practise in afternoon. Peggy is darling, dressed so cute. My group leads next Sunday I found. Stopped at Burchettes to see Marry Dell’s dresses.
