We kids got up about 8:45. Messed around & then studied for Chemistry exam for one hour + ½. When the exam was passed out it was exactly like the test papers we had studied I hope. Ran around with Mary a little. Met Helen C & walked part way home with her.

The Herald editorship won’t be announced until the middle of the summer. Talked to Mrs. Marshall about it. We four kids sure had fun planning a wiener roast while walking the 2 miles from Gene’s house. The last Herald was published. It surely should have been better. I’d hate to say it was the best I could do. Worked in the yard, wrote & made fudge in evening.

Made our schedules for next year. I signed up for Am. Lit., Am. Hist., Typing II, French II and Shorthand I if I don’t make the editorship. If they don’t announce that pretty soon I’ll be a nervous wreck. B. Guthrie said they would to morrow.
