To bed last night at 1:30 so we all slept until 10:00. Karen & David went to State Fair – me to work. Picked Kris & Davy up at 4:30 brought here for all night. Kathi had Red Cross & “Waiting Wives” party. Kent here for all night.

Wednesday, August 25, 1971
Kent & Jeanne file for divorce. Karen & David in to shop at noon. I took them to lunch at Mikes. They, Mother & I to Kathi’s for dinner (Mary & Rocky went to Betty’s in Ontario*). David showed their New England pictures & Kathi Hawaii.

Tuesday, August 24, 1971
Worked until 2:30. To dentist about replacing cap – X-Ray – roots abcessed. Have to be pulled. 45 here for Altrusa picnic. Food by Iva Fetter. All over by 9:15. Jeanne saw lawyer for divorce from Kent. I loaned her $275.

Monday, August 23, 1971
Sally Price out to clean. Shop took care of my appointments so I worked on yard all day. Stung by yellow jackets along waterway. Let Dillon and Straw boy help.

10 AM departure gave us leisurely start. Misting rain, but clearing over middle America. Kathi & kids so glad to see us.

Breakfast at Paradise Inn. Drove around Rainier & up Sunrise Road. Started to hike but not enough energy. Picnic lunch amid alpine flowers. Hated to leave for Seattle. Imperial Motel near airport. To Space Needle & Green Lake.

Wednesday, August 18, 1971
Mailed 2 boxes stones & driftwoodAberdieu $10. Visited capitol at Olympia. Very impressive. Rainier dominates area. Beautiful sunny day. Emergency room at Paradise Inn. Hike toward Rainier strenuous. Headache and noise!

Tuesday, August 17, 1971
La Push is Indian – but no craft shops. Hiked down to beaches. Up Ho Valley to Rain Forest. Club mosses everywhere. To Kalalock Lodge – Breakfast suite. Dinner at Lodge. Watched whales campfire on beach.
