Friday June 25th
Up at 6 a.m. breakfast with Kathi and to Tri-Rivers by 7:45 for my session on entertainment- sold only six DBY all hardbound. To Hutchmans. Gave Erma new oil paint set I bought at Judge Myers auction. Shopped at Meijer for Mary and I got a patio set of table and gazebo. Stopped at Mary’s.
Home about 1 p.m. I did some gardening. Watering and cleaned walks in greenhouse. Had oil and lube at McDaniels and bought new license plate holder and they installed it. (Knocked off when I pushed David’s car in May). Kathi and I had naps and showers and Bob left about 5 p.m. for evening activities at Gruber’s. Kathi studied her Quiver and the reunions book so she could greet old friends. David and Josh went to groomers and then all here.

Thursday June 24th
Bob at Mary’s all day working on computer. Kathi cleaned out my refrigerator and this led to cleaning the cupboard above washer and dryer and food closet. I made bean salad for the potluck tomorrow and baked brownies. Kathi and Bob to the pre-activities for reunions at Mary Merchant Gruber’s (Art) farm by River Valley school. Millionaire Wagontholl sent t-shirts and hats for all 150 classmates attending. David called will be up for reunions at 8 tomorrow.

Wednesday June 23rd
Breakfast on the deck. Then toured gardens. Into the shop for Kathi to pick up pick out an item for her 40th class reunions raffle. Kass gave her a lovely chickadee stained glass panel. $33 value. To Mary’s to install 60 solitaire games on her computer and Bob inadvertently erased her hard drive!. Spent until 6:30 trying to recover. Had pizza sent in and home by 7:15. Stu Shank and Mannus Boger over to visit with Kathi. I took a digital shot and printed it out on Kodak Premier glossy paper. Dave and Judy Haberman were out and we did front Bank. Sure looks better.

Tuesday June 22nd 82°
Last-minute clean-up around the house and just changing when Kathi and Bob drove in about 12:15. Rental car Olds Allero at Columbus. Took a little tour of the garden. Mary out for lunch with us.

Monday June 21st
To Tri-Rivers to give presentations on pre Marion county history to Ashland [illegible] class on Marion County History. Randy Winland’s introduction a little embarrassing!
Don Keil used leaf vacuum and redid cement block wall along driveway bed. I planted yellow Iris and bulbs in bed.

Sunday June 20th
Father’s day card from Kathi and Bob including their schedule for 40th class reunion weekend.
Worked on presentation for history class tomorrow. Watering everything, set out geraniums etc hauled 15 gallon of water to vegetable garden across the road. Watched Antiques Roadshow.

Saturday June 19th
Set out plants and watered lawn with sprinkler. To HH. Cleaned off top of filing cabinet and found things to accession. Willis Thomas in to see my reaction to his surveys and Indian trails manuscript. Showed him my proofers corrections and argued a couple of points (colonies?) Stopped at Mary’s with Taco Bell food. Shopped at Aldi’s for Bob and Kathi. Watered new set plants.

Friday June 18th Walt and I were married 61 years ago today.
Worked in office transferring books to new bookcase. Moved desk to east to make room for lateral file at end by door. So many files to transfer to it and the desk. Watered front lawn. Loaded car with recycles.
To HH. No one in so went through Myers file trying to find Helen Connolly’s handwritten letter about Jacob’s Well. Only saw it once! Took recycles to Sims and met 2 Marys at “Something Good.” Stopped at Office City [sic] on way home to see the lateral file- it isn’t! So I have no complaint. Stopped at B&D yard art on Pole Lane and got a few salvia, portulaca and African marigolds and red geraniums to replace poorly growing areas. Finished “The Silver Chalice” by Castien.
