My cat has a name at last. Helen calls hers Mike so I came to the bright conclusion of calling mine Pat for that famous Irish pair.

Sunday April 19 1931
S.S. Never spent such a dull aft.
B.Y.P.U. & church in eve per ususal.
“Awful” nice weather.

Saturday April 18 1931
Got the bright idea of having a picnic. Helped Daddy shine the car & at about 4:30 started with food & Pauline & Irene. Ran up & down hills, picked violets, saw snakes & neverything [sic]. Stayed at Pauline’s all night. She sure has a case on Glenn.

Friday April 17 1931
Such propositions in Geometry. Feel like a kindergarten with cardboard & shears with which to reduce a 6 sided polygon to [illegible]

Thursday April 16 1931
B.Y.P.U. Party. Mulligan stew featured. Pauline terribly thrilled cause Glenn came home with Stanley & I & in the meantime took her home.
Funny to see Helen Wood gape when Glenn didn’t ask to take her home.

Wednesday April 15 1931
We watch our garden “like a hawk”. It has become a joke with the neighbors but with onions almost big enough to eat, radishes & lettuce doing fine, sweet peas coming up who can leave them alone.

Compositions or what compositions would have been in the grades. “Simple Narration” now prevails in Eng. Class such talent. My, my!

Such weather. Simply marvelous. 65-75 all the time. Hard on concentration.
