Thursday August 31st 1933
Walt came about 8:30. We got breakfast and then cleaned the car. After dinner daddy asked me to drive to break in the car this afternoon and so we drove about 30 miles. Down to Mary’s to take her her powder and Helen’s for red finger nails & home. Mary Burtch here. Packed etcetera.

Wednesday August 30th 1933
Cleaned my room, bathroom, front room and went up town. Read “Show Boat”.

Tuesday August 29th 1933
Up at 11:30 and then with water all over my face. Walt took me to Dressler* in “Tugboat Annie” and then for Sunday. [shorthand]

Monday August 28th 1933
Mary and Helen came down and we played bridge and Solitaire and had popcorn etc.

Sunday August 27th 1933
Sunday school and church. Helen, Mary and I set up in front and looked pious. Mary took me for a ride in P.M. and then we went to her house. Walt took me to B.Y. and Mary brought us home. We talked in car about people- fun. [Shorthand]
