Stopped at Yoders to consult on Christmas Decorations but I didn’t “send” her. 40 funeral pieces. Made out Christmas lists with kids. TV & popcorn & ironing. Brought wood home in truck that daddy cut for us from old telephone poles.

Busy at shop – Beautiful Day – temp 60 but cloudy. Henry Nickle down tonight with excuse for not doing wall. Kathy collecting money for Methodists then to Passion Play move at Harding. Picked out walnuts & sorted washing. TV. Bed 11:00.
Tuesday, December 4, 1956
3 big funerals so plenty busy. Emma Wade working. Home for supper then back to Girl Scout Board Meeting. 3 resignations but no blow up. Home 10:45. David to Scout meeting.
Monday, December 3, 1956
Tried to get out rest of Christmas stuff at shop but too many customers. Headache tonight but took David to Caledonia to go with gang skating in Marion – Then to Band Parents meeting – then home. Then back to get David. Snow melted for first since Thanksgiving.

Cleaned workroom & garage good. Put up tree on front porch wall & ruscus in porch boxes. Wonder carol sing. Mary, Carl & Nancy Jordan, Merilee & family 2 babies – Brooks – Harris – Browns – Allen Fix.
Saturday, December 1, 1956
Worked. Mary & Loren Baker & Mother & Daddy here for supper & evening. Put up some Christmas things & looked at my “antiques”. Good time. Watched possum at bird feeder.
Friday, November 30, 1956
Mother & Daddy out helping Uncle Roy all day. I just barely made it to Swishers for supper. Then to game at Morral with them in their new car. Y [sic – shorthand?] at beat 2 games. Home in snowstorm.

Helen Hanning out & me to get permanent from Shirley Guinther. Rats at bird feeder & Ken Silverthonr tried to shoot them. In to work at 3:45 & then to Mary Jordan’s for dinner.
