Sidewalk sale yesterday about $350 and today $250 Isabel doesn’t mind heat because of Florida until May. Isabel doesn’t mind getting the 11 weddings ready.

To Harding Home for instruction I missed last night.

Thursday June 26th Lazy day temperature 88 degrees
Forgot to go to meeting of hostesses for Harding front porch campaign reenactment.
Called Dick Mulvaine to see about getting money from 2 Metropolitan policies. Can raise the $12,000 down payment easily.

Wednesday June 25th
Harry Garverick in about 1:30 with key to show me the 1020 Toulon house. Two-story bath & 3 bedrooms up. Living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, half bath down, full basement gas heat $42 a month budget. Two car garage- too much shrubbery. Sens showing the house as we left. Told Harry about Ruby- tried to call Ruby no answer. Harry sent Shirleyy Carozzo over with contract. Find there would be $1,200 closing costs and $800 even if I assume $26,000 loan. Don’t want to pay to $32,000 down. Only need about twelve thousand down. Shirley got okay from owners in Michigan but there is a contract on it until June 30th. People trying to get a VA loan. So may not need to worry about who gets the commission.
Kathi called all upset after talking to kids Rita indulging their every whim and Shorty is there. I think that’s a good thing. She’ll let us know what’s going on.
To Lil’s at 11 for brunch for Gail Fields. Mary, Kass & I. Blueberry muffins, fruit cup, chicken in a basket, green beans, tomatoes, olives and strawberry tart.

Tuesday June 24th
Harry Garverick in to apologize for being unable to come to picnic but then mentioned a house on Toulon for sale for $58,000. Told him I might be interested and get me more info. Harry teaches Tri-Rivers says Swartz (Dave’s friend who is supervisor) didn’t check anybody else for a job as he wanted Dave.

Monday June 23rd
Picked Nell Bryant up at 8:30 at Carl Klinger’s at 98 and Newmans-Cardington. At Columbus gift Mart off 270 at Roberts Road in Columbus about 9:30.
Fabulous showrooms- like eloquent shops. Bought from about six places. Basket Shop full of great new baskets. Nell big help on inventory and what sells best. To shop about 5:30 and started on MCHS bulletin. Finished at 8:30 camera ready and dropped off at Big Red Q Quick Print.

Sunday June 22nd
Cleaned 5 quarts strawberries, fixed baked beans, lemonade, iced tea. Set up tables under the Big Oak- served Howard apple pie, ice cream and cheese for lunch. Left at 1:25 for Jim Hill’s place at far Northwest part of Marion County “Irmac Hills” for Camera Club outing. Has had 50 acres along by Tymochtee River only a year. Built quarter mile road- set in mobile home. Built barn- cleared and mowed. Really delightful and he’s a kid with a new toy. Only stayed an hour and hated to leave the guys who came. Picked up mock chicken, relish plate and potato salad and cheese plate from Geneva Brewer $45 and Zacharias furnished meat! Picked mother up and got back to Terradise before the guests. About 30 here but not Mattimores- Garvericks- Linstedts- Tonya. Played croquet- guess your weight (on my scales that weigh 6 pounds heavy!) Boggle. Gave silly prizes. Left by nine. Watched Romeo and Juliet on TV.

Saturday June 21st
Eva Jones to clean she worked until 5:00 and I didn’t even think it was dirty!
Not busy and Shop except for weddings. Everybody home by four-thirty except Dave and Gary.
