Tuesday April 6th
Took Mary with me to doctor Singh’s as I didn’t need help with my knee. Took Kathi’s e-mail with suggestions on what might help her regain sight in one eye. He compared it with her charts and found it all things suggested had been done and nothing was wrong there.
To HH for exec committee meeting- not much doing.

Sunday April 4th Easter
Mary’s 80th birthday. I baked a carrot cake for her and gave her a photo album & film & check for $1,000. She cried. To Urbana for Easter with Sarah and David and the Haldemans and Sapps – 19 in all. Nice talk with Josh about his career to be in product design. Woke this morning with no pain in knee when I walk.

Saturday April 3rd
Left $110 in office for books sold at Hemmerly’s. To Resource Center- no visitors- I copied material from Sawyer collection.

Friday April 2nd
Knee somewhat easing up from pain- taking Celebrex and darvonal pain tablets. To Hemmerly’s to pick up check for videos made for Barbara Hoffman and found group of envelopes in safe with money for books sold. Picked up Mary and to Applebee’s for Mary H’s birthday dinner. I had clam chowder and riblets. Mary got a free sundae because of birthday. Then to Meijer and got photo album for panoramic views for her.

Thursday April 1st temperature 70 degrees
Don Keil here at 12 to 3 took plastic off greenhouse be fertilized upper lawn. I raked beds and he picked up stuff and hauled it to compost pile. Cleaned up bird feedings area of sunflowers hulls. Looks better. e-mail from Jed he may come Saturday to fix computer problems- to bed early.

Tuesday March 30th
Started scanning and saving file for Lu Carhart’s civil war letters. Got five printed out and saved. To Dr. Singhs and had half-hour wait before the injection- no immediate relief- Mary and I to Tim Hortons for sandwich, cappuccino and donut- home by 6:45
Picked up income tax refund is now $3,850.

Monday March 29th
Dropped income tax report at DLM Associates and then waited 1 and 1/2 hours in Dr. Singh’s office- gave me Celebrex tablets and come back tomorrow for last shorthand and he will to see if it reduces inflammation of knees.
