Thursday March 16, 1933
Aside from Mother spilling all she knows [shorthand] Woolum family, and Helen Wood getting mad because she feels slighted that Mary Burtch is going with me, and working my head off to make up work & attending Guild meetings every [illegible] R. Conyer & Louis had good April Fools stories in the evening.

Wednesday March 15, 1933
M, L & I walked to school. Poor Mary- the notes from me she has to read. It’s all settled about the convention but Helen is sore cause Mary is going [shorthand]. I’m trying to get all my work made up. It’s a job.

Tuesday March 14, 1933
Took pictures of organizations all day. I told journalism classes about April Fool Issue. Mary came for supper and fixed my hair & while she was doing it Louis came. We just talked, looked at annuals- heard character sketches of everybody & I enjoyed myself.

Monday March 13, 1933 L.C. pictures taken.
[shorthand] acted [shorthand] Mary’s [shorthand] walk with him. After school I went to Cab. meeting and afterwards he was waiting for me to ride home. Went to Intl Girls potluck, revival & Life Service meeting. Was elected president. It’s rained all day,

Sunday March 12, 1933
So nice. We walked to BY. Spent the afternoon reading, jig-saws and Mary took my picture.
Went home with Mary. Listened to Eddie Cantor. [shorthand]

Saturday March 11, 1933
We never get anything done on Saturday anymore. Helen Sheneman over to plan Guild program.
We went up town to look at hats but didn’t find any. Helen Wood came down and typed. Played cards and talked in bed til 2:00 about some of the boners Glenn has pulled.

Louis was nice again today. Had a notion to ask him to go to the BY party tonight but i didn’t. Wish i had.
Bernard Brooks [shorthand] tired.
Had my picture for the annual taken. First picture taken.

Wednesday March 8, 1933
Mary Burtch didn’t go to school. Funeral of Ollie’s aunt. Went to play “The Country Cousin” given by Senior Guild in evening. Helen Sheneman came home with us for all night. Had corn and put jig-saw puzzles together.
