Friday June 3 1938
Walked up town tonight. Hot. Got Mary a kimona at the Fashion and then down to Thompson’s for spaghetti. Out to end of line on streetcar where Wally met us.
While we were unpacking a few boxes tonight at our house Ralph Herr and his family dropped in.
To bed rather early. Wally has been sleeping at our new house for over a week. Moved the bedroom suite over.

Thursday June 2 1938
Cramps! But Dorothy Doerson had Helen Martin give me a dose of a liquid that straightened me up but also smelled me up. However felt good enough to go up to Boston Store at noon and get Mary a hat and to Lazarus to get a sheet.
Letter from mother tonight telling us Aunt Mell* died Tuesday. Uncle Simon Baker’s wife. Also a nice long letter from Marjory Dickey.

Wednesday June 1st 1938
Mary didn’t remember anything I said yesterday so I dictated notes on everything today.
I’m crocheting all my spare time to finish the vanity set I’m making for Mrs. W.R. Roberts for playing the organ for my wedding.

Tuesday May 31 1938
Wally brought Mary & I to end of carline this morning. Got to work about 7:50. I talked myself hoarse today explaining things to Mary. Stan didn’t say much to her.
Out to Aunt May’s tonight. I’m sleeping on the davenport for the two weeks I’ll be here. So tired tonight but didn’t get to bed until about 10:30.

Monday May 30 1938
Up early & Aunt Sylvia started on my wedding dress. Before they left around three she had it fitted and ready to finish. I think it will be lovely.
Daddy geometrically drew an oval pattern on a sheet to cut my veil by.
Wally only put in an appearance for dinner & then back to the house. But he reported tonight that he washed all windows, in & out, washed all screens & put them in, cut the grass & sickled it behind the garage. No wonder he was tired.

Sunday May 29 1938
Sunday School. Daddy took Innis Bindley to Blanchester on their yearly trip to decorate Bindley graves.
Aunt Sylvia & Uncle Perry went to Nora’s while the rest of us went to Margaret Scheirder’s wedding.
And did it rain on the way home! We were walking so we took the bus.
Wally & I put up curtain rods at our house.
Rev. Wood told us at BY tonight not to be friendly with strangers that came to the church. Now if that isn’t a statement for a minister to make.

Saturday May 28 1938
Met Dorothy Keilmeir & Mable Jasper at Summit & Oakland & then up to Immaculate Conception church for Frances Campbell’s wedding. She was adorable. Kissed everyone as they came out of the church. Uptown tne for breakfast. Bought my veil, shoes, etc then home.
Got everything all packed & then waited for daddy to come to move me to Marion.- And did I get the jitters. Oh me- Aunt Sylvia & Mary came along. Everything moved swell.

Friday May 27 1938
Dave Miller in today. First time since his accident early in March. They really did a marvelous job of repairing him.
Stan played ball last night & tore the ligament in his knee again. He left for a three day trip at noon.
Ed Heine brought a couple of boxes & some cloth for packing around stuff tomorrow.
Packed a few more things.

Thursday May 26 1938
Brought up a swell desk from Lancaster today- But when we got it all cleaned up and after I had rejoiced over the nice features of it, Stan decided he wanted it. While the office was in the mess of moving & washing Ed Lauer came down and told me to have Mary come to work Tuesday & they would “try her out”.
Over to Chaz Seimmer’s house for dinner this evening. His five kids are so nice. And his wife as sweet as she can be. Had a nice supper but they quantity of things to my breath. She gave me some crocheted things & a Marron. And brought me home.

Wednesday May 25 1938
Two dancers on a pole 300 feet above the street on a disk 20 inches across thrilled all Columbus today. We watched them through a spy glass from the rear warehouse windows and they really danced.- Big Apple Charleston- Waltz- Some thrill.
Crocheted some more tonight and packed a few things.
