Tuesday June 7 1938
Just a routine day. But I get tired.
Do the girls envy my getting married and quitting? They surely seem too. I guess I am lucky to have an adoring Wally. A sweet little home. Thanks.
Mary and Floy went to a movie but I’m broke so I’ll read and crochet.

Wally brought Mary and I to end of car line again.
I worked on cards of classification for a permanent file. Got through the official classification but have the exceptions to do yet.
Mary getting along fairly well but it seems that I have to tell her the same things over so many times.

Sunday June 5 1938
Sunday school. Told my girls I was to be married and that they could come to the wedding.
Birdie Hemmerly is in Marion for a visit. I guess she and Mrs. Richards are to help us with the reception. She took them to and from Sunday School.
Drove out to Rueben Smith’s today. He and Margaret are getting a divorce. She’s in Utica, New York. Rueben says he’s going to be married in August.
Then stopped at Mary & Bobs for a minute.
BY tonight I chaperoned the Jr’s- stayed for church.

Up with a headache but conquered it by noon. Met Wally and we got our wedding rings. Also the dishpan and spatulas and egg beaters that’s a wedding gift from Aunt May.
Back up town tonight to buy Mary a dress.
