Sunday October 16 1932
I ate dinner at the church Rayl Class Homecoming. Helen, Mary & I tried on Hallowe’en costumes at all our houses. After B.Y., Bernard Brooks stayed for church & accidentally sat with me. I was mistook for “My Young Man” Dick Gilmore is going to draw me a picture.

Saturday October 15 1932
Came home about 10. Cleaned my room pretty good. Tried on my Pirate suit. Helen S. & Bertha Tower came in P.M. to make program books. Wore my eggshell crepe blouse & jumper. Took them up town, had my picture taken. Read O. Henry’s “Sixes & Sevens”

Friday October 14 1932
Helen took Mary, Irene Siegler, Francis Soos & I to the night game at Bucyrus. As light as day under all that electricity. We won 32-6. Ran away with them. The “Little Soos” came home with us because “Big Soos” thought he might get home too late if he didn’t. Came home to Isaly’s, got a hot fudge Sundae & stayed all night at Helen’s.

Thursday October 13 1932
My only free night this week but I wanted Mary to fix my hair so I went down there & stayed all night. I went to bed rather early but she had to study.
Handed out my second Journalism assignments this morning. They weren’t so good.

Wednesday October 12 1932
I didn’t intend to go to the Young People’s Rally at Radnor but I couldn’t stay away. Bernard Brooks, Helen & I rode down in the back of Ray’s A’s rumble. Nice & coolish. Helen didn’t ride back with us.
We won the picture for having most paint.

Tuesday October 11 1932
Junior Guild meeting had 6 dishes of beans for the Potluck Supper. 20 present. Should have a live Guild. Jean Quick was elected pres. Did dishes & I walked home with some of the kids. Ruby is still here.

Monday October 10 1932
Went home from school with Mary & helped her get ready for Int. Guild Potluck Supper. Rhea King is our new advisor. Helen & I stayed all night.
Such stories as we’re reading in Lit. Ambroise Bierce, Poe get on my nerves.

Sunday October 9 1932
Helen & Mary came down for supper & just before B.Y. Bruce Merlin & his girl came for just a minute. We took our time going to B.Y. Our feelings were hurt last Monday night. We three sang in the choir. Loads of fun.

Saturday October 8 1932
Got up with a headache and got so sick I couldn’t go to the game. Mary & Helen came and went, the band passed, I could hear the cheers. Shelby’s band organized & I didn’t even get to see Bob J. Melvin’s came home so maybe it turned out all right. Mary stayed all night and rubbed my head. Fanny & Floy came for the weekend.

Friday October 7 1932
The boys can’t come. No money they say. Helen & I went to choir practice. Had lots of fun with GGW of course with Dale’s teasing. Elsie Barger brought me home. Daddy was using our car.
