Bill put out this year’s best Herald today. Helen, Mary H & B & I went to the Band Benefit Concert at the Palace in evening. “The All-Americans” The new band uniforms are surely classy. Elwyn came & sat by mary so she went home with him. I took Helen home & all she did was run people down. Got pattern & pique for collars after school.

Wednesday November 2 1932
Cleaned our typewriter took off ribbon, scrubbed keys & made ourselves dirtier than the typers had been. I washed my hair at Mary’s & she waved it.
Helen asked me to her house for supper. Irene Ziegler there too. Helen fixed the nicest eat, all pretty with low lights for my birthday. Gave me a green sucker. Get it? At 12 I sat up in bed & said “I’m 17!”

Short Assembly.
I forget when it was but I asked Bernard Brooks to go to the Kenesian Club Party with me (dumb?) G.R. Party in eve. I decided at 7:20 to dress. It was futuristic. What we thot [sic} we’d be 10 years from now. Such ramblings over the building & the journalism room made a good chamber of horrors.
