Tuesday November 15 1932
I had to stay for G.A.A. Gym work & since I didn’t have a suit Miss McAffe gave me one someone else had lost. I went to get mother from a circle meeting at Wards but she had gone so I visited Helen S. for a little while. Typed, read short stories, had pop corn.

Monday November 14 1932
A practice intelligence test was given. We have the real ones Wed. & Thurs. I got mon “Contes Gais” popur 66 cents new from last year. Guild Meeting at Marg. Brooks. Bernard Brooks rather bored me. I hauled six of the members.

Sunday November 13 1932
Helen S. came home with us from S.S. & Uncle Hen’s & Floy’s were here for dinner – Good. Cracked nuts, made candy, & about 4:30 I went to Helen Wood’s. Mary was there. We studied, had lunch, went to B.Y. where Jimmie & I bumped noses. Rev. Wood sermon was “The Wedding Ring Forever” Such thoughts.

Saturday November 12 1932
I came home early & cleaned up the house- My room especially. Wrote a letter to Alice Marie & went down to Mary;s for her to fix my hair & she came up for all night.

Friday November 11 1932
Well my Herald will pass. It’s so cold. Mary & I & Helen went to the Armistice Day Parade & nearly froze but saw the parade four times. Eve too cold to dance so we went to bed.

Thursday November 10 1932
Oh what a mess. I didn’t have enough material! Bernard Brooks came early but had to leave – so of course Elwyn came- Mary was here. When I found I didn’t have material enough, I thot [sic] maybe Bernard could help but he wan’t home. Daddy finally got an ad from Bindley’s to fill it up.
I bought the sweetest brown tweed jersey dress with that $3. After school. White stuff for collar.

Wednesday November 9 1932
Roosevelt will be our next prs, C’est Bien. Dommage. I left the Herald office & found I locked myself out. Wrote a couple of stories 8th period. All the material is in- Tried to study but between times, I ate some carmel crisp dad made- Typing is getting me down.

Tuesday November 8 1932
Mary came down for supper & Helen came down afterwards. And then about 7:30 this Clarence M. person came popping in- wanted me to go to the show I gues. Hard to get rid of. We kids wanted some dance music but I turned the dial & got “Dem- ballot- Roos. Electorial” at 10:30 Roosevelt was way ahead.

Monday November 7 1932
Very little Herald material in. Oh Dear. After school went to Library Council meeting & skipped cab meet. And just got home in time to go to Int. Guild meeting at Vietta Johnstons. Delivered 6 kids, came home, tried to study & am now very sleepy.

Sunday November 6 1932
Got up just in time for S.S. Stayed for church- Communion. For once I decided to stay home on Sun aft. Worked on my collar & then typed for 2 hrs without doing anything. Bernard Brooks must think he owes me something all the attention I get. Armistice Day program at church. Pretty soldier angel, mother grave tableau.
