Thursday March 4 1943
Took Mary Johnston to missionary meeting. Rev. Holloway talked on the “Heart of Evangelism” & I couldn’t help thinking of Dr. Walker’s words last night. He said that if we are inspired & fail to live up to the inspiration we soon become immune to uplifting thoughts & never accomplish anything regardless of how often we are inspired.

And it’s snowing again! By far the snowiest winter since I was a kid.
Howard is still here. Went down to Ethel to spend the weekend. Seems she was very anxious to leave but he probably doesn’t know when he’ll be through. Starkey’s still waiting on place.
Planned to make cartoon books for Servicemen at Scout meeting.
Wally took me to J.C. Award dinner at Hotel Haring & then I went at 8:30 to last session of Leadership course. Dr. Walker gave the closing address & it was a masterpiece.
