Washed- Slept afternoon away. Guild meeting tonight at Glenn’s & the Circle or Guild question up again. As I see it it’s a matter of refusing to grow up – this changing to Guild Baptist Youth Fellowship is getting started & it includes Guilds up to 25- But we older ones should become part of the Women’s work of the church. However the vote was 7 to 11 to stay a Guild.
Mrs. [ no name ] a Vienesse, was the speaker. Reviewed “A Young Man of Caracass” & then I spilled my tea & jello all over her. Very gracious however. Elected Program chr of Guild. Think I’ll resign.

Wally is carrying his lunch when he stays downtown for dinner to conserve time & money.
Took Kathy to mother’s about 4:00 & we shopped for groceries. Also looked for a garter belt but the elastic-less ones the stores have are terrible.
To mother’s for supper. Had sausage she planned, jelled beef from leftovers she canned & brains & eggs. That we brought for her to cook. Doesn’t sound like a meal shortage exactly. Helped her move things- She’s getting carpet laid tomorrow on front room floor.
