Looks like a good Mother’s Day business. Too busy to go to Quest Club dinner. Worked until 10:00. Made chili tonight for lunch tomorrow.

To Murphy’s in Urbana to pick up plants. Drive beautiful through blooming trees, hills & green meadows. Picture for Star Bridal page. Stopped at David & Karen’s. Tulips lovely. Read Irish literature from Tourist Board.

Trees leafing out. Daffs about gone except late “Silver Chimes”.

Monday, May 4, 1970
Up about 8 – Foggy. Breakfast in cottager & left at 9. Stopped at Ash Cave – Wildflowers good. To shop about 3 – Home around 4. Mowed for 1 hr. Ben out to clean furnace. Back to shope for Flower Class.

Sunday, May 3, 1970
Sunny & cold. Breakfast in cabin. Cerulean Warbler – summer tanangers. Drove with Stulls & Edith [Keeler] to Hope Furnace. Mary, Rock & Mother down. At with us in dining hall & left their basket for our supper.

Saturday, May 2, 1970
Worked until 2 & left the gang with 45 funeral pieces. Picked Delta Ritzler up & headed for Lake Hope. 12 other Burroughs Clubbers already there. Dinner in lodge. Rainy.
