Brickly wedding at 10:30 – 3 others. Called Howard – his birthday. He talked about 30 min. Says not coming home this year.

To House & Garden Club to “comment” on their Flower Show. 5 weddings this weekend. Worked till 7:00. Supper at Royal Buffet. To Arts Fest ival. David playing with Al Wayne Group. He may have a 6th & 7th grade music job in Cincinnati.

Thursday, June 4, 1970
Gardened all day – set out ‘mem cuttings. Trimmed bushes so can see Colorado Blue Spruce. Weeded back below patio. Nuthatch feeding her 9 babies. Don’t think she missed the one Donner got. Mowed in evening.

To Delaware to pick up 300 roses at Gibsons at 15 cents. Kuhn wedding appointment looks like a $200 one. Very busy day.

Tuesday, June 2, 1970
Shirley cleaned. In at 1:45. Several wedding appointments. David still working on fountain. Was his last day of school at Mt. Gilead Elementary. Bought 19 records at Fashion Fair $14!

Monday, June 1, 1970
Anderson wedding appointment. Took geraniums to Mothers. Had power steering & radiator cap fixed. 14 at Flower Arranging Class. Balanc of $1,800 May 31.

Sunday, May 31, 1970
Delivered graduation flowers to Elgin. David rebuilding fountain for rental. Annie Gunderman visiting Mother’s so had the family out for supper. To Hutchman’s to see Mabel & Clarence about Mexico.

Saturday, May 30, 1970
Worked around garden all day. Set out plants, hauled dirt. David out with waterlilies from Trickers. Got manure from Ralph Boger’s barnyard to plant them.

9:30 [shorthand] & Mrs. Bricker. Then Linda Gantz – new Welcome Wagon wedding hostess to watch “Selling a Wedding”. To both cemeteries with arrangements. 3 big funerals & lots of walk-in. Frazier wedding at 6:30. Power steering broke.

Hildebrand – Indiana Glass – in. Mowed upper lawn after work.
