Carl Pickett has inoperable lung cancer & will go to Columbus for cobalt treatments. Pic seems to accept the inevitable with good grace.

Tuesday, June 23, 1970
Took candelabra to hotel for dinner meeting & Altrusa installation of officers. Madge Cooper flew back from New York for the meeting & then flew back there again. I’m on finance committee next year.

Pic & her husband Carl going to Columbus tomorrow. Carl very hoarse. Sis & I had talk about Kent’s flare up. Told her to take day off on my time.

Miserable cool reany day. Stewart wedding most phtographed of the year. Park concert called off.

Weddings this weekend so I was out of shop all day setting up & servicing. Kent thought Sis & Maggie were dragging their heels & told Sis off. He & I worked until 10.

Letter from Kathi – wrote telling them I buy their Dodge for $2,500.
Whole lowland area flooded but has gone down across road. Wet chipmunk & snake on porch brought in by cats. Put up rain guage & bag holder. Dvid out after work (at Whirlpool) & took film & tape of flood.

Picked up Passport pictures at Stewarts & to Clerk of Courts to send for passport. Started raining at 6:15. By 9 the area across the road was flooded covering their “sewage system” – at 9:15 running over road.
