Took mother to Maggie’s to see Maggie’s new Pond. Had corn from David’s Garden.

Monday August 3rd 1970
Shirley cleaned everything but porch!
David out and weeded Bank by patio and took flat tires off tractor and cart to go in for repair. In for wedding appointment. And back out to fry chicken for our flower arranging class picnic on screened in porch. 13 here. Lovely evening.

Four Weddings all okay. Nice letter from Kathy.

Sunday August 2nd 1970
Finally got my suitcases unpacked and stuff put away. Planned to go to Park concert in film and record but David and Karen went to Blossom Music Festival to see Lorin Hollander.

Got films mailed from Mexican trip. Had Mary, Rocky, Mother & Karen out to see things I brought back.

Tuesday, July 28, 1970
Had salesmen – dental appointment to check gold cap Mexican dentist replaced – so didn’t eat all day & ended up with headache.

Wednesday, July 29, 1970
Finance committee meeting for Altrusa at Mary Florence Schulers. Had fun. Plan to sell chances on stock worth $500.

Monday July 27th 1970
In to shop about noon and everyone seemed glad to see me. Several [Shorthand]. Good to be home but there is lots of weeds in flowers. Took Karen to Islay’s for dinner – her birthday.

Sunday July 26th 1970
Woke about 9:30. Checked out of hotel and back to French quarter. Sunday a.m. quite different than Saturday night. Took pictures. To airport – left about 3:00 changed at Atlanta – in line and 17 planes taking off. Mother, David and Karen met me at Columbus.
