Thursday August 13th 1970
Karen and I to Columbus – at German Village visited candle shop, Bakery in Old World Bazaar and Sally’s Flowers. Then to Lazarus and looked at shag carpet. Then to Parade of Homes -18 houses in $40,000 range.

Wednesday August 12th 1970
Kent and Maggie at each other’s throats. Martha and I waited around after 6 cause we didn’t know whether a Claiborne group coming. They didn’t – home with headache and to bed.

Kent delivered funeral work and green camp and Waldo wedding. Sis serviced Green Camp and I joist sub ditch at Immanuel Lutheran. Picnic at Mother’s for her 80th birthday. Family, Bakers.

David helped deliver and setup weddings (6) Mary bought hedge trimmer for all of us to give mother for birthday tomorrow. I serviced Maryland Davis wedding at Trinity.

Thursday August 6th 1970
David and Karen out to get my car to go to Cincinnati tomorrow to close the deal on house they are buying in Mount Washington. Found hobart’s five kittens in Greenhouse. About 2 weeks old I guess.

Wednesday August 5th 1970
To Richard and Wanda Straub’s for dinner. He gave me Gold Medal Florist award. I ordered pottery.
