Finally dry enough that Howard got upper drive mowed. Looks so green with fertilizer & rain.
Paris & Helen got bed frame for Kristi’s bed & helped Kathi put it up.
Howard & I to Mansfield to pick up desk $100 and typewriter stand $40 at Montgomery Ward.

Howard’s birthday 73 I think.
Howard woke me at 8:30 to come take pictures of white iris. It really is gorgeous & the threatened storm put down 1/2″ rain. Set out petunias, marigolds & impatiens, weeded banks. About 3:30 we drove to Kingwood. Only 2 other groups there – about 6 people. Iris gorgeous even after rain. Perennial section & hanging baskets very interesting.
Supper at LK & home for strawberries.
Wrote Bob telling him “thanks” for giving Kathi the opportunity to manage Hemmerly’s.

Mrs. Beasinger – Davy’s teacher says he is not at top of his class here but doing very well. His printing is his poorest area. He got all A’s on grade card except C in writing.

Conference moves fast. Kathi & I skipped how to borrow money and drove to Woodward & I94 area to visit Century Florist Supply. We’ve bought from them for 25 years but never been there. Met “Dorothy” who was preparing new catalog.
Back to workshop in time for psychologist on employee motivation. Very good.
Bus left at 6:30 packed with FTDers for dinner at Brown Bear – one of the new “trio” restaurants next to the new FTD headquarters. Ate with Glen & Earl Davis & shared a good Mosel wine – Schwartzekatz ’73. Toured FTD building. Just started moving today and rooms not finished.

Packed before leaving room. Had breakfast with Jack McKenny who has shop in the Village in NYC. Charming guy.
Workshop wound up with delivery problems – few solutions.
Got extra workbook to give to Grady to explain how out orders should not be included in gross sales.
Drove across road to Greenfield Village, but decided $2.75 was too steep for an hours visit. Left area at 4:30 and nice drive home. At Mary’s at 7:15 and kids were there. Stopped at shop – Connie & Dave working – Debbie been sick all week.
