Consumers News in to take picture of Mother, Kathi & me for feature story & ad. Rosemary Coffey got story material on shop. In to Ralph Carhart’s to sign amendment papers on incorporation.
Along with wedding appointments & salesmen made a hectic day.

Sunday, August 3, 1975
Called David. Sarah crying – feeding time. He got Karen a “punch key” phone for her birthday. Called Kathi to invite her, kids & mother out for supper & called Bob in Utah. He is preparing his resume for job hunting when he gets out of Air Force next April.
A large back hoe operated all day, noisily, to deepen the cess pool across the road.
Pot roast for supper good. Kathi gave Kristi & Davy their first piano lessons. C.D.E. Looked at old slides from 50’s. Mother objected when I spanked Davy after he deliberately obstructed screen immediately after told not to.

Saturday, August 2, 1975
Went to Hotel Harding liguidation sale. Bought stainless steel pot & small pitchers, parfait glasses & steak boards.
Still hot – 96 – Debby & Jackie spent whole day until 4:45 setting up & servicing Worley wedding. Jackie at church from 12:30 to 3:30 – stayed through the mass in order to move 2 arrangements to the house. Debbie waited at house for 2 hrs for cake to arrive. Very poor time management but they did a good job on arranging!
Rain about 5:30 just as I was ready to load out for my second wedding in Caledonia Memorial Methodist today. Cooled to 72.
Bank found the $20 mistake. Judy had counted a BAC in the cash.

Friday, August 1, 1975
Bank called that Incorporation deposit was $20 short in cash. Kathi & I spent all morning trying to find it & couldn’t. But did learn more about how our new system works. Judy will be off 10 days & I’m glad. It gives us a chance to use the system.
Very hot 94 & a man walked through checking on air conditioning but didn’t say anything!
Ruby Graham called to take Kathi to dinner, but I was too tired & upset. Set it up for next Tuesday.

Thursday, July 31, 1975

Met at Virginia Howard’s with Richard Carey to work on By-laws for Historical Society. Virginia showed me 6 chairs that Ray Romine had stencilled the design on the back.

Wednesday, July 30, 1975
Nobody seemed much concerned that I was back. Was there about 15 minutes before Dave even spoke to me! (Sorry! that was Thurs AM.)

Really tired. Home but didn’t get much done. Too tired even to tell Howard much about trip.
In to shop at 6 – Judy there with a tirade against Linda.

Monday, July 28, 1975
Breakfast in room & left motel about 9:00. Along Merrit Parkway – wooded & pleasant. Crossed Hudson at Tappan Zee – very wide. Toll on bridge going east only! Through Delaware Water Gap at about 12 – Lunch at Pennsy. Welcome Area. In Akron at 7 & home at 8:45. Speedometer was 17768 at Plymouth & 18568 when we got home – 800 miles.
