Marked county maps with locales of ancestors’ homes from details given in Uncle Allen’s genealogy of Hildreths & Shenemans.
Bob Clark out with Philpots to cut more firewood. Cool, bright day & they cut “weed” trees (hawthorne, box elder & honey locust) to let walnut, ash & cherry grow. Went around road to get across river to gather walnuts. Put meatloaf & potatoes in oven just as Mary, Rocky & Mother drove up. We went down to look at walnut log & then had nice dinner.

Members of Class of ’33 out to visit with George Schoeckle who was in Marion for a cousin’s funeral yesterday.
Mary & Rayl Conyers, Bernard & Rosina, Imogene & Dick Minshall, Betty & Bus Hinklin, Edna Hatfield, Opal Setterfield & Mary Prettyman. He was staying with Ruby Graham – also a cousin. Everyone seemed to enjoy it & George entertained us with his life story as a geologist with Geological Survey.

Howard brought cans of lepidoptera out of the attic yesterday & I spent entire day counting & recording specimens & repacking them by collectors. Finished just in time to pick Kathi up to go to “The Guild Plays at the Palace” – this year’s follies. Very good local talent, but it’s a younger generation dancing these days.
Weather finally turned rainy, cold & windy after a week of more of perfect weather.

Picked up index typing from Marion Tech.
David met Kathi & me at Bill Senft’s office in Delaware. A public accountant used by George Davis. I had about 15 questions ready for him & he said I was justified in asking to have my books done with that info. But my income for 6 mos. of ’75 is what Grady said. So the conference later with Grady was easy & we got everything so I can understand it.
