Dragged all day. No pep. Kathi & kids are at Utica Michigan visiting Su Fry & her kids. To Mary Jordan’s with Brooks for dinner. Sewage system pump across the road so disturbing at night.

Connie brought Eve Hare out to help me clean. Laid porch carpet & hung Owl placque Genevieve gave me on wall. 22 here for Burroughs Club picnic – Beautiful day. David called to thank for recorder.

Sunday, May 16, 1971
Beautiful morning. Mary & Rocky & I went to Mrs. wait’s woods to see trilliums & one road east – where we found 3 Morels & showy orchids. Gardened until Kathy & kids came out for supper. Showed new slides & movies.

Saturday, May 15, 1971
Setup Caledonia wedding before going in. Bought David a Sony cassette tape recorder $50-. Wedding W of Pharisburg – Kirby – Connie did Caledonia & Isabelle Prsopect Street Methodist. Worked till 7:15 – receipts over $14,000 so far in May. Picked up porch carpet at Sears & bought black chair.

Friday, May 14, 1971
To Artisan lunch at Country Club. Ed & Thelma Winters on Copper enameling. Back hopme to see Elmer Crabtree installing Gould pump for river irrigation. Back to shop – to Kathi’s for supper.

Thursday, May 13, 1971
Kathi, kids & I to north of Newark to Techniglas Candles factory to pick up $250 worth candles. Hills gorgeous with dogwood. Kids stayed here all night as Kathi is entertaining . Kristi in playpen on patio.

Wednesday, May 12, 1971
To work about 11 – cold – 45 to 50 all day & cloudy. To Kathi’s for supper – too tired to go back to work as I had planned. Set out High Bush Cranberry for her & brought larkspur home. Her tulips beautiful.

Tuesday, May 11, 1971
All three Hopa Crabs blooming this year. Found “Owl” gift from Genevieve on porch – to unstable to go to work. Mowed until 4:00. Martha Smith over with Sweet William & helped set them out. Terradise gorgeous.

Monday, May 10, 1971
Headache. Everyone weary. Finished filling Mother’s Day orders – customers NOT understanding. Gave $50 bonus to all designers. Filled over 700 orders – value $5,100. Connie won $10 volume guess.
Toads mating – crabs blooming.

Sunday, May 9, 1971
Headache. Karen & David got breakfast. Kathi & the kids out after Sunday School. Beautiful morning – pictures, Karen & David left at noon – only 2 hrs. with them. Kent, Martha & Debbie helped me with Haley appointment.
