Sun finally but still in 60’s. Got literature on Vancouver from AAA. Looks like trip by air for Mary & me will cost about $1,000. Letter from David inviting me down Monday.

Went in to plant up cemetery urns & combinations. Just got them done when J Y * came in for them. Took delivery to LaRue & came home about 5. Randy had mowed but big mower wheels broke again.

Planted Daddy & Ray’s graves at the cemetery along with 3 other orders. To Kathi’s to take care of Kris & Davy while she went to Welcome Wagon. Kris tried all the swings. Cold out.

Rex Bills operated on for final step in colostomy so Sis off – Hobart had her kittens on porch when I got home. Had had them under new rook for about 10 days.

Sunday, May 23, 1971
Mary & I went to Wait’s woods & she found 2 mushrooms. Woods really changed in a week. George Stafford here when I got home. Fixed rhubard & asparagus for my supper.

No weddings – and I picked 200 lily of valley under Oak tree! Not too busy except for River Valley Prom. Found all I have to do is turn on faucet & I have water from river pump. Moed until wheels wouldn’t turn.

Friday, May 21, 1971
Stayed with Kristi & Davy while Kahy was on Channel 3 TV about letters for Prisoners of War. Handled complaints all day & 3 salesmen. Had nearly 100 phone orders. Planned to go to Prom but mowed instead.

Cleaned kitchen mostly for Quest Club 0 Virginia Lightner & Makevoer girls out to get Virginia’s plants. 29 here for Quest Club – a little cool but some ate on deck. Eplers stayed later. Kent said nearly through when I calledt 9:30.

Hair done at 12 – Marion Star group in for picture for wdding supplement. 3 weddings. To Kathi’s for supper & set out mums for her. Shopped & home in the rain. 1″ measured.
