3 salesmen AM & lots of funeral work again. I left at 5. Home to clean some ready for social committee of Altrusa to plan picnic for August 24. Decdied to eat under Oak tree.

No TV for blast off of Apollo 15 – 30 funeral pieces – totalled $520 – days total over $800. I delivered in Caledonia & stopped at Freemans & he had fixed TV today. Crisswells over with pictures of cats I gave them.

Since Randy didn’t lay the brick walk I did! Used 200 lbs of sand to even it up. Kathy & kids out about 5:30 – sat on patio & Davy carried green apples up to patio & then down to river.

1 1/2″ rain last night. Alice working on billing & mother out to “help”. – Put ledger copies & yellow copies in different envelopes! To dinner at Country Club with Rayl & Mary Conyers & Helen & Marian Wood.

Randy over & got him started on taking up front walk to rid of weeds but he disappeared before I got back with sand. Loren Baker out & ran my new John Deere 110. Back in for wedding appointment & when I got home Randy had finished taking bricks out but hadn’t put any back in. Bought 2 pants suites $16.00

Thursday, July 22, 1971
Trimmed trees at river’s edge so I can see the water. Rocky out & put chicken wire around deck. Kathy & kids brought corn for supper. Called LeeAnn Augenstein & she’ll help while Kathi is gone.

Took Mother with me on delivery NW of Morral – stopped at Maggie’s. Back to shop at 8:30 & worked on books – Otagiri [?] order (dishes for me & some Christmas personnel) & paid bills.

Creative Ribbon Salesman – 3 wedding appointments – payroll – supper at Kathi’s – tried to go see “Hello Dolly” but feature at 9:30 instead of 7:30 as advertised so left – home about 10:00.

Sunday, July 18, 1971
Up at 11 & in to do wedding after breakfast on deck. David & Karen picked up old stove at Dick Grimms. Family here for steak dinner served in living room. Beautiful day. I got Kathi white slacks & vest & travel books & Karen enamel dish $25.
