Cold & dreary day. David got drum from across river. Karen helped me decide on clothes to take. Family out for ham supper & Mary’s birthday. Showed Kathi’s movies & Don’s slides.

In at 8 – Mary dispatching all deliveries made the day easy. Bought 150 more plants & sold out on everything bu carnations. Finished up about 6:30- Dinner at Bona Vista. David & Karen critical.

Mary in to help deliver & I taught her dispatching. Pic & Lillian on phone & I “here & there”. Everything smooth – David & Karen arrived about 5 & I sent them to Mother’s for chili. Cop said they passed a stop sign – oh dear!

Wes & carolyn on delivery. Working on Homer Hufford’s funeral flowers. Cold – cloudy – about 38 high. Maggie & Eva been wrapping plants in garage all week. Home at 7:00 – Steak broiled.

No funeral work! Plants in from West Park & garage is so full can’t get through. Took Easter baskets of eggs to Altrusa. Dr. Setterly on radiology – Good.

Letter from Kathi – Irish Cottage reservation confirmed for April 16! No funeral work except for out of town. Everything going smooth. Called David & he’ll be up Friday evening. Howard saw first snake.

Pic in to answer phone this week. Nice to have her around again. Everything’s going so well I got home at 6:15 & upset Howard because he hadn’t put chicken in until 5:55. But good when ready about 6:45.

Unloaded 200 geraniums into greenhouse. Mary & Rocky to Mansfield for callas for Lutheran order. Wes delivering. Alice & Mother finished billing. Bought Kris panties & slip & me a ribbed shirt. Home at 9:00.

Took Howard, Mother, Martha, Mary & Rocky to Killdeer – Geese – ducks, osprey?, cedar waxwings. Dinner at Mary’s. Bought 2 rhododendron & 2 azaleas at Welles – $18 & planted under oak tree. Cold out, but sunny.

Headache. Wrote Kathi. Fred Landis – German Jew salesman in & I could understand his German! Very busy – Mother stuffing statements. Mary & Loren in. Brooks & Jordans dropped by & I modelled my trip clothes.
