Sally & I cleaned & debugged & moth balled the B’fly & Moth collection. 2 trays fone with hermestid [sic] beetle! Took Sis, Isabelle, Genevieve, Connie, Jane & Alice to Altrusa Style Show at Hotel Harding.

Tuesday, March 21, 1972
Rough day on protein diet. Martha off. Took Ridgedale deliveries & brought Mother back to shop to stuff statements. (Got skirt and blouse for sesqui)

Wednesday, March 22, 1972
Headache wore off during day. Shopped at Keefer’s at found Black piqua coat & dress (“Costume” $100 – shop people liked it – wish it were navy!)
Watched “Harvey” on TV. Letter from Kathi. Lost 5lbs on diet.

Monday, March 20, 1972
Got letter from Kathi saying she had sent letter to “Rent-an-Irish-Cottage”. Stopped at 552 N. Greenwood & Service Maid finishing cleaning. Started “Quick Weight Loss” diet. I weigh 160! Supper at Mary’s then to Travel talk on Mexico – Thayer Soule.

Sunday, March 19, 1972
Howard & I to 552 N. Greenwood St. to trim shrubbery – Mary helped. Jackie Mitchell & Jim & Ann Schultz out at 4. Walked over Terradise – Waffle supper. Got Eamon Ryan’s letters out. Got reservation & money for “Rent-an-Irish-Cottage” ready.

Friday, March 17, 1972
Sally to clean. In at 11 & everything in uproar. Sold 40 “pots of Gold” & 200 green carnations for St. Pats. Howard put meat loaf in oven with baked potatoes. Studied German newspapers.

Saturday, March 18, 1972
40 funeral pieces. I did Barger wedding at Caledonia & set up aisle candelabra at St. Paul’s Episcopal for Bellville. Home at 7:30 – TV & German.

Thursday, March 16, 1972
Rain – temp 50 – German at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Transplanted maple trees PM. Worked in greenhouse AM – on wax plant. Planted marigolds. Put heating cable under seed bed.

Tuesday, March 14, 1972
Ice gone from pond. Virginia Wetzel called & we went to see pair of hooded mergansers on her pond. Also a bluebird. Work at 10:30. Snowed PM. Hostess at Altrusa.

Wednesday, March 15, 1972
10 funerals on board! Dodge in for 20,000 mile checkup. Dick Wilson in & I paid him $2,050 for remodelling & painting 552 N. Greenwood. Shopped groceries $23. Watched West Side Story on TV.
