Wednesday, June 21, 1972
To Cincinnati & met Karen & David at market about 11:00. Met Mr. Vielhauer & loaned kids $3,000 till David gets teacher’s retirement back. Bank will loan $6,000 & they have $3,400. Have net worth of $20,000. Bought editor & Bell & Howell cube projector.
Drove to Fountain City to Shorty’s new mobile home.

Monday, June 19, 1972
Had 2 new front tires put on Dodge at Harruggs. Belted – $77 tires for $43 each! Made out flower order for 15 [shorthand] this weekend. Wrote John Segar & sent tape & Oasis boquet holder. Delivered wedding to Caledonia. Played Germany movies.

Sunday, June 18, 1972
Breakfast on deck with David and Karen & boys. They got in at 4 AM. Jam session at Lion’s Den & then to Burton’s. They in to OSUM at 10:00 to rehearse for 1:00 performance. David’s compositions way out! Flat tire – back here for lunch. They left at 5:30. Howard back.

Saturday, June 17, 1972
Breakfast & everyone in by 9:30. Dave & Hink doing performing arts chores at Arts Festival. 5 weddings, all ok. About 14 funeral pieces. Wes breaking in Mark Webb. To Festival at 6. All had pizza & then kids to country club to play dance.

Friday, June 16, 1972
Sall cleaning and Howard trimming Box Elder tree over river as I left. When I got home from wedding at 8 note from Howard saying 12 stiches in jaw from fall against tree. Was at Fultons. I went over. He in pain. David, Karen Vaughn and 2 Sturm boys arrived at 10:00.

To Lenzo for rest of physical. AOK except low hemoglobin count & low blook pressure. To Bargain City for fishing rod. Flat tire which kind man changed. Home about 3:30.

Wednesday, June 14, 1972
Kept purple “weekender” pants, vest shirt & blouse $78 & blue print $32. Loren Baker called about 6 so had him, Mary Baker, Jesse out for supper. Sat in tent by pond. Mary not herself.
