To Lenzo for tests. Called Dr. Kiplinger office at OSU & talked to John Segar. Met him at Engel’s at 4:00 and toured greenhouses with him & Walter J. Sr. & II. To my shop for quick look. To Terradise. Mary, Rocky & Mother had hot supper ready. Back to Columbus for 9:30 bus to Washington DC.

If ever perfect day it’s June. Set white petunias & hosta along rail fence. Rocky out to help Howard put up screen tent. Love it! Purdue Univesity called John Segar not time to see me.

Wednesday, June 7, 1972
Wrote checks. Fred Landis in to sell artificial flowers. Howard, Mother, Mary & Rocky to Reuben Smiths to see iris. Stopped at Bargain City & bought screen tent. $50. Stopped at Greenwood to see carpet. Mother won’t move there.

Tuesday, June 6, 1972
To Dr. Lenzo to start physical. Decided to have surprize party for Howard tonight. Called 18 people & bought cake. Hair cut & set. Took Mother & Howard on Meeker delivery. Party big success. Howard was pleased. His birthday was yesterday.

Monday, June 5, 1972
Gorgeous day. Walked around pond. Terradise beautiful- Howard has all mowed. 2 wedding appointments. 2 salesmen. Gave away kitten. Lucile Iler & Zelma Howard here for Quest Club Program Committee. Washed & tinted hair.

Sunday, June 4, 1972
In to shop at 9:30 – Kent & Martha working & Wes delivering. I balanced checkbook $5,000+ balance. Had 5,300 deficit end of April. Copeland wedding at Emmanuel Lutheran. Home & napped – read Dispatch. Fixed European & Soup Book.

Saturday, June 3, 1972
Serviced 3 weddings & had 2 sellings. Nicky Sansotta & Harold Henry funerals & others totalled 95 funeral pieces. Splitting headache after servicing 3 weddings. Genevieve Beeers last day until she feels better.
