Worked in woods cleaning up debris until 3.
In to Mary’s for supper. George Jackson, Don and Agnes’s son-in-law, there. He and Judy have been missionaries in Taiwan for five years and our home on furlough. He spoke and showed slides for evening service at Trinity. Mother and I went with Mary and Kenny- hope it didn’t cause too much excitement seeing me there!
Mary and Kenny out here afterwards. George staying all night with me as Mary goes to work so early. Served tea, cinnamon crisp and pine nuts. Told George about my Philippine trip and learned about Taiwan.

Robin building nest in hemlocks- good view from the kitchen window. Set out 50 red creeping phlox along top of stone wall, by greenhouse, along steps on back bank and at front bank by drive Gorgeous day, hepatica, bloodroot, spring beauties, daffs, scilla blooming.
Barry out about 2:30 and helped get bridge back in place. Flood really washed out around it. Howard pryed and Barry shoved cement blocks under. I picked up flood debris or burning.
In to shop at 5:15 and picked up Mary Carey’s wedding- Richard and Betty’s daughter. At Essex Methodist. Mary said bouquet wasn’t what she ordered. So I took flowers from candelabra arrangements and made it bigger. She is so pretty and apologized for flaring up.
