In to Harding at 9 and met with Mrs Denman and Mrs. Jenkins and their typing classes. Off to a good start. Back to the shop and Idella Jones had the “S” – R & K that the LaRue people had alphabetized and consolidated since Saturday. So took them to Mary Jordan and Mary Hecker to check. To Penney’s to get silver necklace repaired that I bought Monday and bought film at Twin Fair. Didn’t realize how tired I was until I could hardly walk back to car. Stopped at mothers with cookies I bought at Nickles Bakery. She looks pale and has been having Veda [Vada] stay at night with her. Home and had bacon egg and tomato sandwich and went to bed at 2 and slept until 6. Jean Potts called saying she was sending finished typing out with a girl who lives in Wood Valley. Watched TV and to bed at 10. Headache.

Hardest day I’ve put in on book. Worked at home until 12 consolidating the W’s. Then at shop with little let up all day. Called Jody Cole and told her I was sending brown line proofs. Got them ready and Terry took to UPS air mail. Called Harding [Harding High School] and their typing classes will help. Dinner with Heckers and Jordans and both Mary’s offered to help.
Back to shop to get things ready to take to Harding tomorrow. Home and watched TV to relax and then filed all the odds and ends that I could. Bed at 1 AM.

Haircut and set by Molly. $14.25+$1.75 tip. got some of my office cleaned of History stuff. Carroll in with pictures of North East Marion for any historical dates I knew. Borrowed my 1883 history reprint.
Betty James called to say that none of the proofreading corrections on the page proofs had been made on the brown lines. What in the world did she think I gave them to her for? Hope she didn’t goof it at Altrusa.
To 665 Normandy and showed the house to one impossible family from Galion, to Mike Griffith (George and Virginia’s son) and to Robert Jordan and bride- rather standoffish. Cleaned out the pea vine that had overrun shrubbery in front after Molly left.
To Men’s Garden Club potluck at Waldo Sportsmen’s Club. Used slide dissolve unit- a disaster. Not synchronized properly. But everyone complimentary. Those who thought I was stupid didn’t tell me so at least!
