In at 9:30 & stopped for gas & found radiator line leaking! Got daddy’s car & went out on census until 1:30. To Garden Center meeting with Mrs. [illegible]. doing Christmas things. Nothing outstanding. To Jr. Class play at Caledonia tonight with Kathy & David. Sunny – 50.

Thursday, November 11, 1954
Made draperies – Lined them with old wine ones. Got manure from Stanleys & Eleanor* showed me thru that house. Planted 2 iris crosses but don’t know where to put other 5. Sunny – 50. Beautiful moonlight.

[*Eleanor Stanley Hinklin – Stanley’s owned the house one tenth mile to east of Terradise house, had been rented by John Stumbo.]

Wednesday, November 10, 1954
8 hrs. on census. Grocery shopped & stopped at Mary & Rocky’s – Getting grading done. Brough flowers to Caledonia for daddy. Kathy sick with throat & head. David & I watched T.V. & popcorn. To bed at 11:30. Pauline Fetter called mother & said Lily couldn’t keep Grandma* anymore.

Tuesday, November 9, 1954
Census until 6: Supper at Mother’s. Then to Bucyrus for Ten Eyck’s & Norton’s* Mum show. Home about 10:00 – Bookwork on census & to bed at 11:00. Tired! Made about $7.25 today. Beautiful sunny day Temp 60.

Monday, November 8, 1954
9 hrs on Census. Made about $9.00 Mary Jordan over tonight – nice visit. TOok 1 hr homework on census. Bath & bed at 10:00.

Sunday, November 7, 1954
Got meat balls & spaghetti – pie & salad ready in A.M. Called Sandra (she to call Paris) & invited them out too for John, Jim & Olive Gill’s visit but they didn’t come (Sandra & Paris) Had grand hike with GIlls. Lemley’s stopped for a minute. Gills left at 6. TV tonight. Miss Ray so much.

Saturday, November 6, 1954
Last day of training at Bucyrus. Daddy & Mother brought chickens out dressed. Cleaned basement & ironed. Kathy to choir practice. High about 40 – sunny.

Friday, November 5, 1954
Headache – But got started on census at 10:00. Worked till 2 & had to quit. Filled 32 lines but only completed 3. Big Island mostly. At mother’s for supper. Home & Hinklins helped us get chickens. Took them back to town. Head still aches so to bed at 9:30. Kathy skating.

Thursday, November 4, 1954
2″ wet snow. Points went ou on car on 98 & daddy came up & let me take Ford to Bucyrus for training.* Got [illegible] South of Morral to Espyville & worked it. Shop in PM. Repairs on car $11.15. Ironed & TV’d tonight. Bath & bed at 11:30.

[* Trella got a job with the farm census to supplement income – and to get to know some Marion County farmers]

Wednesday, November 3, 1954 – Snow
Trella 39 today & who cares? To Bucyrus until 1 for census training. Got home just as Erma & Leta Dehard [?] arrived for program committee meeting. Mrs. Stumbo down saying they moved yesterday. Giving David’s chickens back. I worked tonight. Kathy to Town Hall dance. Ruth Ruhlman called for birthday.
