Made draperies – Lined them with old wine ones. Got manure from Stanleys & Eleanor* showed me thru that house. Planted 2 iris crosses but don’t know where to put other 5. Sunny – 50. Beautiful moonlight.

[*Eleanor Stanley Hinklin – Stanley’s owned the house one tenth mile to east of Terradise house, had been rented by John Stumbo.]

Wednesday, November 10, 1954
8 hrs. on census. Grocery shopped & stopped at Mary & Rocky’s – Getting grading done. Brough flowers to Caledonia for daddy. Kathy sick with throat & head. David & I watched T.V. & popcorn. To bed at 11:30. Pauline Fetter called mother & said Lily couldn’t keep Grandma* anymore.

2″ wet snow. Points went ou on car on 98 & daddy came up & let me take Ford to Bucyrus for training.* Got [illegible] South of Morral to Espyville & worked it. Shop in PM. Repairs on car $11.15. Ironed & TV’d tonight. Bath & bed at 11:30.

Trella 39 today & who cares? To Bucyrus until 1 for census training. Got home just as Erma & Leta Dehard [?] arrived for program committee meeting. Mrs. Stumbo down saying they moved yesterday. Giving David’s chickens back. I worked tonight. Kathy to Town Hall dance. Ruth Ruhlman called for birthday.
