Tuesday, November 2, 1954
Worked on checks, etc. Voted at Caledonia School then in to shop to work. Kids in with Mrs. Williams. David got hair cut. Kathy & I had ours cut. Mary & Rocky have tiles in kitchen* (floor & bath). Living room painted, plumbing all in. Wrote Baker & got out few poems. Popcorn bed at 10:30.

Monday, November 1, 1954
In at 2:30 for Burgoff wedding appointment. Finished clay house & baked cake after I got home. Henry Nickle brought Patten’s out to see our fireplace. Jim Bush & Pam Weaver here for pictures & about storm windwos but no conclusions. I enjoyed their visit. I’m in on census job.

Sunday, October 31, 1954
Kathy to Sunday School – David & I took duck for a walk. To Columbus in PM for Design School at Hill’s Roses. Took Roger to Merlins first. Tommy Bright was commentator. Wonderful! Dinner at Seneca Hotel. All on Hill’s. Home with Clarence Greer & Sally & Mrs. Deyson. Home at 10:00.

Saturday, October 30, 1954
Daddy out again working on bank. Cold! In with kids at 4:00 for Marilyn Fields wedding appointment. Back out at 7:30 to Caledonia Festival. Won a duck! Should have kept that chicken feed from last year!

Friday, October 29, 1954
Cold – 42 at noon! (illegible) I went in to work at 9 & left Roger here cutting trees. Back at noon & he had it all done & outdoor furniture put away. Daddy out at 1 & we worked on bank. In at 4:30 to work & shop again. Took kids & Roger to Mark Street Festival. Mike Leonard & Keith Brown home with us.

Thursday, October 28, 1954
Painted shower room in basement & then Roger cut up the lowest trees over the bank and I burned them. He fished some after lunch & then we mowed lawn & worked on front bank. 29 last night. Mother & Daddy out. Daddy lit stove in greenhouse.

Wednesday, October 27, 1954
To Bucyrus to take test & entertain for Agricuture Census Ennumerator. To Marion at noon – wedding appointment with Donna Haberman. Roger Hemmerly home with me. Cleaned basement – Ping Pong going great. Watched TV with Roger bed at 11:00. Burned 260 gallons oil since May 24.*

Cleaned kitchen & car & then Lela Duhamel drove hers to Ashland for Presidents & Program Chairmen meeting at 910 Center Street – fabulous home- Mrs. Curtis Ginn’s father’s home & art collection. Mrs. Robert Timkin conducted Program Chair meeting. Lovely Tea after. With kids to Mary Jordan’s tonight – good time.

Monday, October 25, 1954
Cleaned out greenhouse all morning. Daddy & Rocky brought load of wood to burn. In with Kathy after school for Donuts & Cider for GAA Party. Got my drapery material at Penny’s. $18 T.V. tonight while Kathy at Party.

Sunday, October 24, 1954
Up at 6:30 & in to do Sautter-Roseberry wedding. Mother & Mary took David & Keith Brown in with them last night. Mary helped on wedding. It was at Galion. Stopped at Gill’s & saw John before coming home. Fanny, Floy & Mary Baker, Mother & Daddy here for supper. Basement picnic. Light 75 yr. show on T.V. Sole N.Y. Times “Unexempt”
