Monday, November 22, 1954
Called Mr. Warner (dog warden!) to see if he would take cats Stumbo’s left. No soap but he did have a collie pup. Brought it to shop about 7 & it is cute! David nearly nuts over it*. To Mary & Rocky’s. They moved in Sunday. Had wedding appt. Got 4 census. Christmas shopped.

Sunday, November 21, 1954
Kathy to Sunday School. I worked in the greenhouse potting up cuttings that had rooted. Put roses in afternoon. [?] To Eugene Douce’s to tell him about meeting with census supervisors tomorrow. Watched TV all evening.

Saturday, November 20, 1954
Hit high spots in cleaning house. Had breaded veal & scalloped potatoes, cauliflower, salad & cherry pie for Alice & Milan Gorby. Look at movies & slides & Ray’s stamps & bugs. They left about 2 A.M.

Kathy sick but went to school then I had to go get her. Worked on census. She didn’t get elected Jr. Hi. Cheerleader!

Wednesday, November 17, 1954
Shopped at Montgomery Ward & banked before going to work. Got 2 nylon cardigans – $2.98 each & a brown tweed shirt. Got some ship drapery, matched for David’s room 66 cents yd & a can can slip for Kathy. Supper at mother’s. Took Kathy to Teenage dance & went & got her. Tried to watch them dance but couldn’t take it.

Tuesday, November 16, 1954
In at 9:30 – worked until 7:00. Completed 14. Wrote Peg Stevens saying Clarence & I would help with design school Nov. 28. Mary & Rocky came out & got their dryer. Sure will miss it. Did paper work on census & to bed at 10:15. Tired. Lovely day again. Temp 65.

Monday, November 15, 1954
To work at 10. Completed 9 today. Made about $8 in 8 hours. Supper at Mother’s. Then Daddy, David & Mary, Rocky & I to Burroughs Club Guest Day with Ollie Niemyer & Monica. Home here about 10:30. Sunny – high 45.

Sunday, November 14, 1954
In at 9 to do Gibson wedding. To Mary’s before coming home. Have carpet laid & are beginning to move in. Hutchman’s out at 3 & then Eugene Douce stopped & Mary & Loren Baker, Fanny & Floy Baker & Leila & Mother & Daddy. Hutchmans here for supper & then Bill drilled nuts while Erma & I worked on Della Robbia wreaths. Fun.

Saturday, November 13, 1954
Kathy cleaned basement & I worked in greenhouse. Bobby Hinklin & Chuck Belt playing with David & helped me bring dirt for potting to greenhouse. Stopped at Sickles* & ironed & T.V.’d tonight. Lonesome for Ray. Eleanor Hinklin brought her brother down to take down awnings.
