Shopped at Montgomery Ward & banked before going to work. Got 2 nylon cardigans – $2.98 each & a brown tweed shirt. Got some ship drapery, matched for David’s room 66 cents yd & a can can slip for Kathy. Supper at mother’s. Took Kathy to Teenage dance & went & got her. Tried to watch them dance but couldn’t take it.

In at 9 to do Gibson wedding. To Mary’s before coming home. Have carpet laid & are beginning to move in. Hutchman’s out at 3 & then Eugene Douce stopped & Mary & Loren Baker, Fanny & Floy Baker & Leila & Mother & Daddy. Hutchmans here for supper & then Bill drilled nuts while Erma & I worked on Della Robbia wreaths. Fun.

Kathy cleaned basement & I worked in greenhouse. Bobby Hinklin & Chuck Belt playing with David & helped me bring dirt for potting to greenhouse. Stopped at Sickles* & ironed & T.V.’d tonight. Lonesome for Ray. Eleanor Hinklin brought her brother down to take down awnings.
