To Columbus & Mother too. Hill’s & Smith & Young Christmas buying. To Aunt May’s for an hr. or so & then to Lazarus. Bought slipcover for davenport & Kathy, Boudoir chair. Drapery material for Kathy’s room. So,e Christmas. Gave talk to Garden Path Club & sold $15 worth materials.

Wednesday, December 1, 1954
Wedding appointments. Senff Lunchg with folks. Business off about $4,000 from last year & labor costs up. Worked 5 hrs west of Big Island [farm census]. In at 4 & met Fields at Epworth to plan wedding decorations. James Braden, my census supervisor here at 6:30 to check my portfolio. Says I’m doing OK. Popcorn for kids – ironed & TV till 12 A.M.

Tuesday, November 30, 1954
On census all day. Left at 7 with Mrs. Deyson for Sycamore where I gave talk to Garden Club – Christmas arrangements. Home about 12.

In at 8:30 to pack for TDS Design School in Columbus. Clarence* & I worked with florists from Cinci, Zanesville & Lancaster – Al DeMaro, Commentator. Did O.K. I guess. Style show & dinner. Home about 9. Tired!

Saturday, November 27, 1954
Lombards wedding at 9:30. Then to Presbyterian Church to decorate for Sylvia Frava [?] To shop to finish up & then battled parade getting back to hotel to church. But evnetually worked out fine. About $80 for the 2 days. Home for supper & then back to Deysons to get hair done. Home again.

Friday, November 26, 1954
Went to look at 1953 Plymouth $1195 – but only allowed me $150 on my ’48 Nash. 2 weddings today. Worked straight through till 11:30. Working on 2 for tomorrow after supper, Mary helping. Staying all night at folks.

Thursday, November 25, 1954 Thanksgiving
In about 11:30 to Mary & Rocky’s. I took sweet potatoes & corn. Daddy got 22# turkey. Very done! Took kids to see “White Christmas” at 5:30 – Good. Picked up Laddy & home about 9:00.

Wednesday, November 24, 1954
In & worked at shop until 11. Then out on callbacks & picked up 8. Home about 5. Supper & then went back to Mary & Rocky’s . Helped clean a little & left Kathy there to help get Thanksgiving dinner.

Tuesday, November 23, 1954
Wedding appt. & at shop until noon. Then census from 12 to 8 & got 14 completed. Daddy out to get kids & “Laddie” about 5 . Home about 9:30. Bed after T.V. & book work on census.
