To Grand Prairie Township and found all the missing acreage. Picked kids up at school. Then in to get David’s hair cut. At mothers for supper. Daddy got David word game like “Scrabble”. Marge [Deyson] set my hair! To grocery & home. River flooded again.

Temp 60 – In at noon & worked on Census at County Engineer Office checking plot maps. John Cotrill big help. Then to Gegenheimers to meet Creasaps. He’ll draw up papers to sign next Monday. To Board meeting tonight. Kids at Mary’s. A day when everything was in tune.

Out to push in iris stakes & lay a few stepping stones. Not much growing yet but found a pansy in bloom. Mrs. Stanley came down to get me to see their house & they sure did fix it nice. Hildreths moving in. Helen & George Leonard here for supper.

John & Alma Creasap here & offered $5,000 cash & $3500 more within 6 mo. on Westwood. As he pointed out it needs $1500 repairs & I pointed out it is easily worth $10,000 repaired. Will see lawyer Monday & draw up papers. Census men here tonight. Want me to find 5,000 lost acres. Mide Leonard here for night.

Ugh – Cold in me. Achey [sic]. Worked in greenhouse. Transplanted arabis & unwin Dahlias. Planted seeds of chives, lavender, helleborus, passion vine, dimorphothun, symphoricarpos, mallow. TV tonight by fire. Too achedy to iron.

Woke with a cold – first in over 2 years. Did bookkeeping. Then in to Hutchman’s for Swiss Steak supper. Then to Coliseum for basketball – Claridon took Meeker & Caledonia won over Pleasant. Home at 10:30 – bed.

Up & baked cookies for Mary & Forrest to take home. Stopped at bank – but left my card at Goodyear for tire alignment & then to Columbus with Mother & Daddy & Forrest & Mary. Lunch at Howard Johnson’s & then to Aunt May’s* for chat. Had extra hour visit for train. At Mother’s for supper then wedding appointment – Weston. Home 11:00.

River out on this side some but starting down by evening. In at 2:30 & took Mary & Forrest shopping. Then back to Lily’s to put casters on Grandma’s bed. To Mary’s for supper. Kathy to basketball – me to Mary Bachman’s to revise Girl Scout const. Back to Mary’s for visit & home about 11:00. Prospect beat Caledonia.

Pancakes for breakfast. River flooding far bank. No school for kids – teachers sick. In with Mary about 11. Forrest & Daddy to Coshocton – business. Mary got wine for Grandma* & she, Kathy & I at Aunty Lily’s for lunch. Pictures at Mother’s tonight until 10:00 – snow melting first time in weeks.
