Sleet storm. Moved kittens into bigger box. David accidentally dropped Pierre’s cage* while feeding him & Pierre died a minute laster. He was over 5 years old – got him October 1951. David had saved his allowance to buy him. Washed clothes. Planted Linda Peterman hybrid impatiens.

Guy Hunter & son Russ here at 7:30 & worked on wall by garage door until 4:30. Chuck Andrews* & wife Florence & his two kids here PM for supper. Too cold to be out much and Kathy insisted on serving supper before it was done. Nice visit though. They left about 10:00.

Runewald-King wedding at 2:30. Emma Wade in at noon. Letter from folks. Daddy caught 24 fish 7-12# each Tuesday. To Sophomore Class Dance at school. Won rabbit cake & bought chicken sandwich stuff. Home 12. Square Danced with David, Manus Boger & Dave Shockey

Oranges arrive but Dick Grimm refused them. Later I went to the station & they were ok. Temple oranges are naturally rusty. Took David to scouts & Kathy to Community Club & I went to Galion to speak to Aunt Florence Lemby*. “Tourist Club” on wildflowers. Nice visit with them later.
