Sunday August 21st 1977 [Hemmerly Reunion]
Agnes woke me at 8 saying Don would be here by nine-thirty. Enjoy breakfast with him on deck and when David called at 11 saying they were just leaving (I was expecting them momentarily with the ham for dinner!) Don went to Marion with Mary to get chicken.
Helen & son Gene and family- Don- Jill- Francis- Doris- Mary and I made 7 cousins again. Fanny, Floy, Lauren, Jessie and Gail and Madge Zimmerman and mother. About 24 here. Ate inside as it poured. Read from minutes of Baker reunion and Mary recited verse she gave at 1923 reunion. David read letters from Frederick Siegler to his sister Elizabeth Margaret Hemmerly. Had the ham for supper with 16 here. Francis and Stella here all night and also David’s family.
