Wrote to Edgar in case he didn’t receive my letter about baskets.

Howard cut the sycamore tree that shaded the deck. It was only 10 years old but much higher than house and was buckling the patio blocks.
Wrote up account of my talk last night for [blank] and dropped it off on way to board meeting for Historical Society. Committee to see about old library building just won’t get moving. Not much going on.

In at 11:30 and David there with 18 foot rental truck from Cincinnati to load refrigerator and counters. Karen and boyfriend and Mike and Dave Woessner there when I got back from doing wedding at Free Will Baptist and we went to Mary Alice Lucas’ Farm on Route 4 north of Marion to get barn siding. Ended up with two doors, a wagon wheel and pieces. Very cold and windy. David left for Cincinnati without the cash register. Called me when he got home. Paris and Helen stopped by. Sandra has broken leg- drugged most of time.
Truck cost David $125 rental in gas.

Finally got rested. Shop not busy so in p.m. girls got 25 Christmas arrangements made. Bill Lehmers in for Indiana Glass order. 3 aisle cloths that Sutton’s borrowed were stapled on both sides, full-length, which left tears all along. Emmanuel Lutheran can’t find the 100 foot aisle cloth used Saturday for William’s wedding and Rev. Osborn of Prospect United Methodist didn’t like it because the name Hemmerly showed up on the aisle cloths used there last Sunday. Good thing I read that “Influencing People” book last night. Letter from Marjorie saying she did not receive permission from mother to publish her 1927 hurricane story but hasn’t been done yet.

Sarah repeats everything you say to her and is using her own sentences. Same age as Kristi was when I visited Decker’s in Germany in 72. To shop about 11 and then to Isaly’s for lunch. Up to mothers to look at compressor, but too large for David to load. They left for home about 4.
I came home at 6, snacked for supper and to bed at 11. Read “How to Achieve Success and Happiness in Business” for second time. Good psychology.
