Tuesday July 2nd 1935
Mary in Bible reading contest at church. While we were there Wally called from our house. Home a day early.
Bernard Brooks down after we got home and we went to Rosina’s. Did our necking in the car out there. Got home about 12:00. Walt went to Bernard Brooks’ for all night.
Made my gingham sun back dress today.

Monday July 1st 1935
Mary and I went to see Shirley Temple in “Our Little Girl.” Got material and pattern for sun back dress. Also some Woodbury’s powder. Mary picked cherries this morning. Bernard Brooks came down with a flat tire and we helped him fix it. Mostly by watching and asking dumb questions.

Finished up as much stuff as I could before I go. Heine’s brother took me to the bus station.

Stopped at Magazine Store for some Cosmopolitans & Reader’s Digests to read on my vacation. Wally they met me after work and went with me.

Sunday June 23rd 1935
Bernard & Rosina down tonight. Daddy took Innis Bindley to Michigan this morning. Started about 2:30. While we kids were eating popcorn, in pops Aunt Sylvia.
Took part in BY tonight. “Why we should go to church.”
Wore my sailor dress for first time and mother had the stars sewed in the wrong corner. I’ll bet they looked funny.
